The goal of GENEPEP is to discover new endogenous peptides involved in inflamation, infectious diseases, cancer, obesity, central nervous system desorders, etc.

Gene2Pep �

Gene2Pep mimics the natural peptide processing that occurs in vivo to generate an active peptide(translation, signal peptidase, prohormone convertases, posttranslational modifications like amidation, disulfide bonds, sulfation,etc). The software is �feed� with transcriptomics, proteomics and extended (organisms, tissues, sequences,etc) data. At the end it gives a list of new putative endogenous peptides encoded by transcriptomes.

PrediLigand �

PrediLigand selects among a list of peptide those with membrane receptor ligand profiles (GPCR, TLR, etc).

SageData

The SAGE data give the expression level of cDNA encoding peptides in tumoral versus normal tissues.

Interface Request �

This Interface allows peptide requests on various chemical and biological cecriteria:

AA composition, length, chemical modification, etc;
Organisms of origine;
Tissues expressing peptides.

ex request 1: 10-15 residue peptides from insects, without disulfides bonds and expressed in venom glands.

ex request 2: peptides expressed in lung tumor and with membrane receptor ligand profiles.
